The glow stick stickman was a hit last year, we thought this glowing jellyfish is a tad more fascinating! You will need:

  • A large hat
  • LED battery string lights
  • Bubble wrap
  • Craft tissue paper or white ribbons (for the streamers “tentacles”)
  • Glue gun
  • Bubble gun for added effects!

To make it:

  1. Tape the LED lights all over the surface of the hat
  2. Cover the surface of the hat with bubble wrap, using hot glue to attach it
  3. Cut the tissue paper into spirals, or just use long ribbons, and use the glue gun to attach it around the brim of the hat, letting it stream down

You can also use a transparent umbrella with the LED lights, to replace the hat and bubble wrap.

Mini Darth Vaders, Luke Skywalkers and Yodas still have us going awww after all these years!

Buy them at Spotlight or rent them at My Mini-Me.

  • Grey spray paint (optional)

To make it:

  1. Spray the hat with spray adhesive glue
  2. Stick on the polyester batting or cotton wool in clumps and keep adding until you are happy with how your cloud looks
  3. For best effect, spray the cloud with grey paint for a stormy look
  4. Fold your felt so you are cutting 2 layers at the same time, cut rain drop shapes
  5. Cut several pieces of yarn in varying lengths
  6. Using hot glue gun, glue the drops to the end of the yarn, sandwiching the yarn between the drops
  7. Hot glue the top of the yarn to the brim of the hat
